Brainchild Launches Next Generation iPad® Assessment App for Schools
iPad® App for Education Syncs Student’s Work with Web-Based Reporting.

January 4, 2012 – Naples, Florida – Brainchild Corporation announced today that it will launch Achiever! for iPad at FETC in Florida later this month. Achiever! for iPad is designed for elementary and middle school students and has state specific and Common Core content available. Achiever! will be the first iPad application to deliver a full range of standards-based instruction and assessment on the iPad for Math and Language arts.

Brainchild has been providing mobile learning solutions and award-winning content to schools for over 15 years. In 2011, Brainchild launched the Kineo, the only Android tablet built specifically for schools. Kineo, which also uses the Achiever! application, is currently used by thousands of students in classrooms across the United States with over 10,000 devices deployed to date.

The Achiever! application for iPad marks the latest innovation from Brainchild. For each standard, students will take a pretest to establish their baseline scores. If scores are low, students can watch instructional videos and work through the program’s study mode to improve proficiency. Study mode provides immediate feedback for incorrect answers and allows students to work through problems until they get the answer correct. Brainchild’s patented GlobalSYNC technology allows student’s work to be synced with online reports for data-driven instruction.

“We have seen a lot of districts struggling to use iPads and tablets for well-defined, measurable programs,” said Jeff Cameron, Brainchild’s president. “We are focused on establishing goals with schools and then applying the proper content, support, and professional development to surpass those goals. With Brainchild, schools make just one phone call to solve hardware, software, and training issues.”

With a long history of supporting mobile learning in classrooms, Brainchild carefully crafted Achiever! to benefit students in any school environment. It is designed to allow students to work on any iPad at any time. Most schools do not have the budget to allow for a full 1:1 implementation of iPads for each student. This application will allow these schools to still successfully use Achiever! for each child. Furthermore, Acheiver! can be used online or offline to support schools with limited WiFi range and bandwidth. Achiever! can be used either online on computers, through the iPad application or on Brainchild’s Kineo tablet.
